In 2016, I travelled to Bali with my friend Caroline. It was my first “exotic” holiday, and I was so excited about it ! And trust me, Bali didn’t disappoint me !

So naturally, I decided to talk to you about this wonderful island for my first blog destination đŸ™‚

Bali - préparation
We had coffee and discussed about our itinerary with Caro

We chose Qatar Airways for our trip : reasonable prices, but mostly for the comfort of their planes. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a long trip. But when you’re comfy and have entertainment on board, it goes by pretty fast.

Our passports and the Routard in our pocket, our luggage are ready : Bali, here we go !

(if you want a great travel guide, I recommend the Lonely Planet. You can buy it by clicking this link :-))

I rarely travel without my friend Lotso (who smells like strawberries… my inner child is delighted !) And the turtoise you will see in some pics is Kiki, who died in Ubud… RIP… Back to our trip!

The flight goes by smoothly. We had a 6-hour layover in Doha, Qatar, but that was alright, as they have quiet rooms where you can rest.

A few things to know if you have a layover in Doha :

  • there are 3 kinds of quiet rooms : women only, men only, and families.
  • it is freezing in the airport, “thanks” to the air-conditioning. So, pack a big blanket and socks, if you want to have a nap.

Where do you want to wander ?
